16-inch 165 Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor with 16 cores and 24 threads. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU carrying 8 GB of GDDR7 video memory. The system ships with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Home.

Check your peripherals and power needs

Verify that your external monitors can accept a 1920 x 1200 signal over HDMI if you plan to use the single HDMI port. The three USB Type-A and two USB Type-C ports handle most accessories, while the RJ-45 jack provides wired networking. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth are integrated for wireless connectivity.

Fits a desk setup with room for expansion

The chassis measures 13.94 x 10.55 x .9 inches and weighs 5.83 pounds, so it sits comfortably on a typical desk. ROG Intelligent Cooling manages thermals for the 14650HX and RTX 5060 during extended sessions. The 512 GB PCIe SSD leaves an open slot for additional storage, and the 32 GB DDR5 configuration uses both SO-DIMM slots.
