Ready-to-game 16-inch laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 2024 Office licence installed. It targets gamers and creators who want a complete system without adding memory or storage themselves.

64GB DDR5 at 4800 MHz

The board holds 64GB of DDR5 running at 4800 MHz in a dual-channel layout. That capacity is the single figure that decides whether the machine can handle large textures, virtual machines and heavy multitasking without paging to disk.

Opened for upgrade, then resealed

Engineers open the factory seal to install the 64GB DDR5 kit and the 2TB PCIe SSD before final testing. The original one-year manufacture warranty covers the untouched components; the upgraded memory and storage carry a separate one-year warranty from the shop. No user assembly is required.

Questions about this item

What does the 165Hz refresh rate mean when the laptop is running games?

The 165Hz panel refreshes the image 165 times per second, so motion in fast-paced titles stays sharper and input feels more responsive than on a standard 60Hz screen.

What does the Thunderbolt 4 port’s 40Gbps limit cap in practice?

The 40Gbps ceiling governs the maximum throughput for external GPUs, dual 4K displays or high-speed storage daisy-chained through the single USB-C connector.

Will the 13.94 x 10.55 x 0.9 inch chassis fit in a typical 16-inch laptop backpack compartment?

At 13.94 by 10.55 by 0.9 inches the G16 matches the internal dimensions of most 16-inch sleeves, leaving a small margin for padding.
