18" WQXGA 240Hz Gaming Laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 G814FP-WS96-HID7P is an 18-inch gaming laptop built around a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 8 GB GDDR7 video memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 64 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory in dual-channel configuration, and a 2 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD. The Eclipse Gray chassis measures 15.71" x 11.57" x 0.91" ~ 1.21" and weighs 6.61 lbs.

2.5K 240Hz IPS-Level Display

The single specification that defines suitability is the 18.0-inch WQXGA panel running at 2560 x 1600 resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate. This combination delivers high pixel density and very smooth motion for competitive and immersive gaming. Buyers who need a larger canvas or a different aspect ratio should verify the 18-inch form factor fits their workspace and mobility requirements.

Thermal Grizzly & Gelid TIM Upgrade

HIDevolution applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU before shipment, a liquid-metal and high-performance paste combination that lowers peak temperatures under sustained load. The service includes a full quality-control cycle with BIOS and driver updates, stress testing, and port verification. No user installation is required; the laptop arrives ready to run, and the custom thermal interface is covered by the builder's warranty.

Questions about this item

Will the 18" chassis fit in a standard 15.7" wide laptop compartment?

The laptop measures 15.71 inches wide, so a compartment listed at exactly 15.7 inches will be too tight; look for a bag rated at least 16 inches wide.

Can the 64 GB of DDR5 5600 memory be expanded later?

The system ships with two 32 GB modules filling both SO-DIMM slots, so adding more memory would require replacing the existing kit.

What display resolution and refresh rate does the 18" panel provide?

The screen is a 2560 x 1600 WQXGA IPS-level panel running at 240 Hz.
