18-inch WUXGA 144Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 is an 18-inch gaming laptop built around a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 32GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Home. The 1920 x 1200 display refreshes at 144Hz for smooth motion in fast-paced titles.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Creators and competitive players who want a large high-refresh panel, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and Wi-Fi 7 will benefit from this configuration. Buyers needing a smaller footprint, lighter weight or longer unplugged runtime should consider more compact alternatives. The 4-zone RGB keyboard and FHD IR camera support streaming setups.

The spec that decides fit

The 18-inch 144Hz WUXGA display is the defining attribute; it dictates the chassis size, weight of 7.05 lbs and thermal envelope for the i9-14900HX and RTX 5070 combination. If the screen size and refresh rate match the workflow, the supporting hardware scales accordingly.
