18-inch WUXGA 144Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 is an 18-inch gaming laptop built around a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA panel running at 144Hz. An Intel Core i9 14900HX with 24 cores and a 5.7 GHz max turbo clock drives the system alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed.

24-core i9-14900HX plus RTX 5070 for creators

The 24-core processor and RTX 5070 suit content creators rendering video or 3D scenes and gamers who want high frame rates at the native resolution. Buyers who need a smaller footprint, lighter weight or longer unplugged runtime should consider more compact alternatives. The chassis measures 15.71 by 11.73 by 1.26 inches and weighs 7.05 lbs.

8GB GDDR7 on the RTX 5070 decides 1440p viability

The single specification that determines fit is the 8GB GDDR7 frame buffer on the RTX 5070. It sets the practical ceiling for texture-heavy workloads at the panel's 1920 x 1200 resolution and indicates whether an external higher-resolution display can be driven comfortably.
