ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 Desktop

This new ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop PC built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores running at 5.7GHz. It includes 64GB DDR5 memory, a 4TB NVMe SSD and an AMD Radeon RX 9070 graphics card with 16GB GDDR6. A 750W power supply and Windows 11 Home complete the system.

Suits 4K gamers and creators; not for compact builds

The 360mm liquid cooler and full-size chassis serve enthusiasts who want high sustained performance for 4K gaming or content creation with the installed Radeon RX 9070 GPU. Buyers who need a small-form-factor PC or a system that fits in restricted cabinet space should look elsewhere because the Helios GX601 is a full tower desktop.

LGA 1851 socket defines upgrade path

The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K mounts in an LGA 1851 socket, so any future processor change must use that same socket type. The four DDR5 slots are all populated with the 64GB kit, so adding memory requires replacing existing modules.

Questions about this item

Will a 360 mm liquid cooler fit inside the ROG Strix Helios GX601 case?

The system ships with a 360 mm liquid cooler already installed, so the chassis is designed to accommodate that exact radiator size.

How do I install additional DDR5 memory in the four available slots, and what mistake should I avoid?

Power down, open the side panel, align each DDR5 module with its slot and press firmly until the retention clips click; the common error is inserting modules at an angle, which bends the gold contacts.

When will the 750 W power supply need replacement in this gaming desktop?

A quality 750 W unit typically lasts five to seven years under heavy gaming loads; plan to swap it if you notice random shutdowns, coil whine or voltage instability under load.
