ASUS ROG Strix Magnus USB 3.0 Condenser Microphone

This USB 3.0 condenser microphone is built for live streamers who need professional audio quality in a portable package. Three 14 mm studio-grade capsules capture vocal nuance with a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz and sensitivity of -35dB. The compact design measures 50% smaller than the competition and includes integrated AUX-IN and headphone ports for direct monitoring.

Cardioid stereo ENC modes and Aura Sync RGB

Three pickup patterns let you switch between cardioid, stereo and environmental noise cancellation to suit solo streams, group chats or noisy rooms. ENC uses a dedicated microphone to analyse ambient sound and suppress keyboard clicks or background hum without extra acoustic treatment. ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting across three zones synchronises with compatible hardware for a unified look.

Headroom for streaming setups and where it stops

The USB passthrough preserves a port for headsets or other peripherals while the hardware controls handle gain and mute on the fly. It delivers clear, lifelike audio for desktop broadcasting and on-the-go recording. Buyers who need XLR connectivity, phantom power or multi-pattern switching beyond the three built-in modes will require a different interface.

Questions about this item

Will the three 14 mm condenser capsules need cleaning or replacement after long-term use?

The capsules are sealed inside the metal grille; routine care is limited to keeping the grille free of dust and avoiding liquid exposure. No user-serviceable parts are inside.

What limits continuous streaming sessions on the USB 3.0 connection?

The microphone draws power directly from the host USB port, so session length is governed by the computer's port power delivery and thermal behaviour.

How much heat or fan noise does the Magnus produce when running all day?

There are no moving parts or active cooling; the unit stays near room temperature and adds no audible noise beyond the capsules picking up ambient sound.
