18-inch 240 Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 pairs an Intel Ultra 9 275HX processor with an RTX 5070 Ti 12 GB GDDR7 GPU. A 2560 x 1600 panel running at 240 Hz targets competitive players and creators who need high frame rates. Sixteen GB of DDR5 and a 512 GB PCIe SSD complete the core specification. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 licence ship pre-installed.

Opened chassis for professional upgrades

The supplier opens the factory seal so engineers can install memory or storage upgrades before dispatch. This reduces the chance of factory defects but means the original packaging will show signs of handling. Buyers should verify the upgraded components match their order and run a quick stress test on first boot to confirm stability.

Check Thunderbolt 5 and HDMI 2.1 needs

The laptop provides two Thunderbolt 5 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and one HDMI 2.1 output. Confirm your docks, monitors and peripherals can use these interfaces before ordering. The 15.71 x 11.73 x 0.93 inch footprint and 6.28 pound weight require a bag or sleeve rated for an 18 inch device.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 240Hz panel is actually running at 240Hz after setup?

Open Windows display settings, choose the 2560 x 1600 resolution and confirm the refresh-rate dropdown shows 240 Hz; the on-screen ROG overlay can also display the live frame rate while gaming.

What ships in the box and what must I buy separately?

The laptop, power adapter and Windows 11 with Office 2024 licence are included; the 16 GB DDR5 and 512 GB PCIe SSD are already installed, so no extra memory or storage is required unless you want more capacity.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR5 / 512 GB SSD configuration or a larger one?

The listed unit comes with 16 GB DDR5 and a 512 GB PCIe SSD; if you need more RAM or storage you would have to select a different SKU or add components after purchase.
