18 inch 240Hz QHD+ Display

The ROG Strix Scar 18 is an 18 inch gaming laptop built around a 2560 x 1600 panel running at 240Hz. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and a per-key RGB keyboard. An Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with 24 cores and a 5.4 GHz turbo drives the system alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR7 memory.

Designed for Competitive and Creative Work

This machine suits players who need high refresh rates at QHD+ resolution and creators who rely on 32GB DDR5 and a 1TB PCIe SSD for large assets. Thunderbolt 5 ports and Wi-Fi 7 handle fast external storage and low-latency networking. Buyers who prioritise maximum portability or all-day battery life away from mains power should consider thinner ultraportables instead.

RTX 5070 Ti 12GB GDDR7 Graphics

The discrete GPU is the single specification that defines whether this laptop matches the workload. With 12GB of GDDR7 video memory it targets modern titles at high settings and GPU-accelerated rendering pipelines. If the intended software demands more video memory or a higher GPU tier, a different configuration will be required.

Questions about this item

Will the 18 inch 2560 x 1600 240Hz screen fit in my 18 inch laptop sleeve?

The chassis measures 15.71 x 11.73 x 0.93 inches, so compare those external dimensions with the sleeve's internal space before buying.

Can I add a second SSD later without removing the factory 1TB PCIe drive?

The supplier opens the original seal for upgrades only; contact the shop to confirm whether a second M.2 slot is free and what length it accepts.

Does the Intel Ultra 9 275HX 24 core processor need a special cooler if I run sustained 5.4 GHz workloads?

The factory cooling is built for the 24 core 5.4 GHz design; extended turbo loads will run warmer and louder but stay within spec.
