18-inch 240 Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU. Twenty-four cores reach 5.4 GHz turbo frequency for demanding titles and creative workloads. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a one-terabyte PCIe SSD provide fast capacity for large projects.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The eighteen-inch chassis measuring 15.71 by 11.73 by 0.93 inches and weighing 6.28 pounds houses cooling for the 275HX and 5070 Ti combination. Fan behaviour scales with load so typical gaming sessions stay audible but not intrusive. Power draw follows the components’ rated limits under sustained work.

Upgrade path from earlier high-end laptops

Moving from a machine with a lower-core-count CPU or a previous-generation mobile GPU brings 24 threads and 12 GB of GDDR7 video memory. The jump is worthwhile when 2560 by 1600 resolution at 240 Hz or heavy multi-tasking becomes a daily requirement. Thunderbolt 5 and Wi-Fi 7 extend peripheral and network headroom for the same workflow.
