Compact 96% wireless mechanical keyboard

The ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless is a compact gaming keyboard with a 96% layout that keeps all function and number keys while saving desk space. It connects via USB 2.0 wired, Bluetooth 5.1, or 2.4 GHz RF with ROG SpeedNova technology. Per-key RGB lighting and hot-swappable pre-lubed ROG NX Storm clicky switches come standard with PBT doubleshot keycaps and a detachable wrist rest.

Suits gamers who want clicky switches

This keyboard fits players who prefer an audible clicky actuation and the option to switch between wired, Bluetooth, and low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless connections. It is not for users who need a linear or silent typing feel out of the box. Buyers who want a full-size layout with dedicated macro keys or a smaller form factor without a number row should look at other designs.

Hot-swappable ROG NX Storm clicky switches

The board uses hot-swappable ROG NX Storm mechanical switches with a walled stem for stability and factory pre-lubing for smoother travel. Integrated sound-dampening foam and switch-dampening pads reduce ping and echo. Because the switches are hot-swappable, owners can replace them with compatible alternatives to change the typing character without soldering.

Questions about this item

What does the 96% layout mean for desk space?

The 96% layout keeps all function and number keys while shrinking the keyboard to 377 mm wide and 131 mm deep, freeing up room for mouse movement.

What does Bluetooth 5.1 cap in practice?

Bluetooth 5.1 lets you pair up to three devices and switch between them, while the 2.4 GHz link with ROG SpeedNova is used for low-latency gaming.

What clearance does the detachable wrist rest add?

The wrist rest measures 377 x 82 x 20 mm and attaches to the front edge, so you need an extra 82 mm of depth when it is fitted.
