Evangelion Limited Edition Keyboard

The ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX Red Evangelion is a full-size gaming keyboard built around optical mechanical switches. It targets competitive players who want instantaneous actuation and per-key RGB lighting in a distinctive purple and black colourway inspired by the anime series.

ROG RX Red Optical Mechanical Switches

The keyboard uses ROG RX Red optical mechanical switches that register keystrokes via light rather than metal contact. This design delivers a 0.5 ms response time and eliminates debounce delay, giving typists and gamers a consistent, linear feel without the variability of traditional mechanical switches.

USB 2.0 With Full-Function Pass-Through

A single USB 2.0 cable powers the board and drives a full-function USB pass-through port for a mouse or headset. On-board memory stores up to six profiles selectable via Fn hotkeys, while 1000 Hz polling and 100% anti-ghosting ensure every command reaches the system without extra software or driver overhead.

Questions about this item

How does the 0.5 ms response time feel in actual gameplay?

The optical mechanical switches actuate at the speed of light with near-zero debounce, so the 0.5 ms figure translates to instantly registered keystrokes during fast-paced gaming.

What does the USB 2.0 connection limit on this keyboard?

USB 2.0 provides ample bandwidth for the 1000 Hz polling rate and full-key rollover, while the integrated pass-through port also runs at USB 2.0 speeds for peripherals.

Will the full-size 100% layout fit on a compact desk?

The keyboard occupies a standard full-size footprint with a numeric keypad; measure your available desk width against typical 100% dimensions to confirm clearance.
