ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX517ZR gaming laptop

The ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX517ZR is a 15.6 inch FHD gaming laptop built for players who want high frame rates in a thin chassis. It ships with Windows 11 Home and an Intel Core i7-12650H processor that reaches 4.7 GHz max turbo frequency across 10 cores. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 with 8 GB GDDR6 drives the 144 Hz IPS-level panel for smooth competitive play.

16 GB DDR5 4800 MHz and 2 TB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe

Dual-channel 16 GB DDR5 4800 MHz memory handles modern titles and background tasks without bottlenecks. The 2 TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD provides fast boot and level-load speeds while storing a large game library. Heavy multitasking or memory-intensive creative workloads may eventually exceed the 16 GB capacity.

Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound for cooler

HIDevolution applies Gelid GC Extreme thermal interface material on the CPU and GPU to lower peak temperatures under load. The custom thermal paste improves heat transfer from the Alder Lake processor and RTX 3070 graphics, helping the slim 0.78 to 0.81 inch profile sustain performance. Fan noise remains controlled during typical gaming sessions while the 4.41 lb chassis stays portable.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6" 144Hz display and RTX 3070 work with my older 1080p external monitor?

The laptop drives external displays through its video outputs. A 1080p panel will run at its native resolution and the GPU will scale content accordingly.

How do I verify the i7-12650H and RTX 3070 are performing as intended after setup?

Run a combined CPU and GPU stress test while monitoring core clocks and temperatures; the 10-core processor should sustain up to 4.7 GHz turbo and the graphics card should hold its boost clocks under load.

What is included in the box and what must be purchased separately?

The box contains the laptop with Windows 11 Home, 16 GB DDR5 4800 MHz memory, 2 TB NVMe SSD and 8 GB GDDR6 on the RTX 3070. A power adapter is included; any extra peripherals or storage are separate purchases.
