Product identity

The ASUS TUF F16 is a 16 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i5 13th Gen 10 core processor that runs from 2.4 GHz to 4.6 GHz. It ships with Windows 11 Home, 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB PCIe SSD. The 165 Hz FHD+ panel and RTX 5050 8 GB GDDR6 GPU target players who want high refresh rates in a portable chassis.

Deciding specification

The graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory. That combination of GPU model and VRAM capacity is the single figure that determines whether the system fits a given gaming workload.

Thermals noise and power

The CPU carries a 55 W base power rating and the thin 0.7 inch profile relies on the TUF cooling design to move heat away from the 10 core chip and the RTX 5050. In typical gaming sessions the fans spin up audibly but remain within expected levels for a 4.85 pound laptop of this class.
