27-inch QHD 180Hz gaming monitor

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ3AZ is a 27-inch QHD monitor built for competitive gamers who demand high refresh rates. Its Fast IPS panel delivers a 2560 x 1440 resolution at 180Hz with a 1ms GTG response time. Adaptive Sync support covers FreeSync Premium and G-Sync Compatible operation. HDR10 and 130% sRGB colour volume target vivid, high-contrast visuals.

Included DisplayPort cable and L-shaped screwdriver

A DisplayPort cable in the box enables the full 180Hz signal without a separate purchase. The supplied L-shaped screwdriver simplifies stand assembly or VESA 100 x 100 mounting. Quick Start Guide and warranty card complete the accessory kit. No additional calibration tools or colour profiles are bundled.

250-nit brightness and 1000:1 contrast define HDR

HDR10 content will display, but peak brightness of 250 nits and a static 1000:1 contrast ratio limit highlight impact and black depth. The 180Hz refresh rate requires a graphics card capable of driving 2560 x 1440 at that frame rate over DisplayPort. ELMB Sync cannot run simultaneously with variable refresh rate.

Questions about this item

Does the 27 inch QHD panel require any periodic calibration or component replacement?

The Fast IPS panel has no user-serviceable parts and no scheduled calibration interval; only the external power adapter and included DisplayPort cable may need replacement if damaged.

What limit appears first during extended 180 Hz gaming sessions?

The 250 nit brightness ceiling and 1000:1 contrast ratio are the fixed panel limits that define HDR10 highlight and shadow detail during sustained use.

How much heat and noise does the monitor produce when running all day at 180 Hz?

The unit has no internal fan so it operates silently; warmth stays low because the 250 nit backlight and external power adapter keep internal temperatures modest.
