Purpose-built ultraportable

The ASUS VivoBook F412DA-NH77 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop powered by an AMD Quad-core Ryzen 7 3700U processor. It suits professionals and students who need a lightweight Windows 10 Home machine for daily productivity, video calls and light creative work. The Slate Gray chassis weighs 3.31 lbs and measures 0.75 inches thin for easy transport.

Decisive specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 8GB DDR4 2666MHz memory paired with a 512GB PCIe SSD. This capacity handles multitasking with office suites, browser tabs and streaming, but cannot be upgraded later. Buyers who need more memory for virtual machines or large datasets should look elsewhere.

Sustained behaviour

Under continuous load the Ryzen 7 3700U operates at its 2.3GHz base clock with boost up to 4.0GHz, while the integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics share system memory. Thermal management keeps performance stable during extended document editing or video playback without heavy throttling. Fan noise remains modest for typical office workflows.

Questions about this item

How does the Ryzen 7 3700U 2.3 GHz base clock behave under load?

The processor boosts to 4.0 GHz when thermals allow, so single-thread tasks hit higher speeds while sustained multi-core work settles near the base frequency.

What display output does the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port support?

The Type-C port is data only; external monitors must use the HDMI port for video output.

Can the 8 GB DDR4 2666 MHz memory be upgraded later?

The 8 GB is soldered to the board, so no SO-DIMM slot exists for expansion.
