Convertible 14-inch touchscreen

The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420UA-DS52T is a 2-in-1 laptop with a 14.0 inch Full HD IPS display running at 60Hz. It runs Windows 10 Pro on a Ryzen 7 5700U processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, paired with 36GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Integrated Radeon graphics handle the visual output.

Suits mobile professionals, not heavy gamers

This device fits users who need a portable convertible with pen support, fingerprint security and a backlit keyboard for business or study. The 42 WHr battery and 65W charger support mobility, while the 3.31lb chassis keeps weight low. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance, a higher refresh rate panel or more than one USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port should look elsewhere.

36GB mixed memory configuration

The system ships with 36GB of DDR4 RAM composed of 4GB soldered onboard and a 32GB SODIMM module. This asymmetric layout means only part of the memory runs in dual-channel mode, which can affect bandwidth-sensitive workloads. Verify that this arrangement matches your performance requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Ryzen 7 5700U get during all-day workloads?

The 5th Gen AMD Ryzen 7 5700U runs at 1.80 GHz base and up to 4.3 GHz boost with 8 cores inside a 3.31 lb chassis cooled by a 65 W power supply.

Which peripherals must I already own to use the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 and HDMI ports?

You need a USB-C device or cable for the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port and an HDMI cable plus external display for the HDMI output.

Will my older USB 2.0 flash drives work with the single USB 2.0 port on this TM420UA-DS52T?

Yes, the lone USB 2.0 port is backward compatible so legacy USB 2.0 flash drives and mice will function normally.
