16-inch WUXGA OLED touchscreen

The ASUS Vivobook S16 is a 16.0-inch laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor with eight cores and an integrated NPU rated at 49TOPS. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB SSD running Windows 11 Home. The matte gray chassis meets US MIL-STD 810H durability standards and includes a Full HD infrared camera for Windows Hello sign-in.

Thermals noise and power draw

The integrated Intel graphics and 8-core processor handle daily multitasking and local AI workloads without discrete GPU heat. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 maintain wireless connectivity while the MyASUS AI Noise Canceling microphone array reduces background sound during calls. The OLED panel filters 70 percent less harmful blue light for extended viewing comfort.

Upgrade path and value

This configuration suits professionals who need a durable, colour-accurate touchscreen for presentations and creative review. It does not meet the needs of buyers who require discrete graphics performance or more than 16 GB of memory out of the box. The 64 GB maximum memory support allows future expansion when workloads grow.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 16.0-inch WUXGA OLED touchscreen panel if I need to replace it, and what step is most often missed?

The display is integrated into the chassis and not designed for user replacement; attempting removal risks damaging the 0.2ms response-time panel and 95 percent DCI-P3 calibration, so service should be handled by authorised technicians.

What maintenance will the 2 TB PCIe SSD and 16 GB DDR5 memory need over time, and when should I plan upgrades?

The SSD has no moving parts and requires no routine maintenance; the memory is soldered and not user-upgradeable, though the platform supports up to 64 GB maximum capacity for future configurations.

What thermal or power limit appears first during sustained AI workloads on the Core Ultra 7 355 with its 49TOPS NPU?

The 8-core processor shares a cooling solution with the integrated Intel graphics, so prolonged NPU-intensive tasks will hit thermal-throttling limits before the 49TOPS NPU reaches its theoretical peak throughput.
