Dual-Screen Zenbook Duo UX8406CA-PS99T

The ASUS Zenbook Duo UX8406CA-PS99T is a 14-inch dual-screen laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor with 16 cores and 24 MB L3 cache. It ships with 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and an 8 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD. The primary display is a 3K WQXGA+ OLED panel at 120 Hz with touch input. Integrated Intel Arc graphics handle visual output. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed.

Installation and thermal notes

The unit arrives as a completed build from an authorised ASUS BTO partner. Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound has been applied to the CPU and GPU during assembly to improve heat transfer. BIOS firmware and drivers are updated to the latest stable versions before shipping. A full burn-in stress test and bench verification are performed to confirm thermal behaviour and component stability. No end-user assembly is required.

Target user and alternatives

This configuration suits professionals who need a large 8 TB NVMe volume and 32 GB memory for local workloads such as video editing, 3D asset management or data science. The dual-screen form factor benefits multitasking workflows that spread timelines, reference material or code across two panels. Buyers whose primary focus is high-frame-rate gaming or who require discrete GPU compute should evaluate systems with dedicated graphics instead.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 14" 3K OLED touchscreen is running at 120 Hz after Windows 11 Pro setup?

Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and confirm the refresh rate dropdown shows 120 Hz for the built-in 2880 x 1800 panel.

What ships inside the box and what must I purchase separately?

The laptop with 32 GB LPDDR5X soldered memory, 8 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD, Intel Arc graphics and Windows 11 Pro installed; no user-replaceable parts are included, so only peripherals such as a mouse or external drive would be separate purchases.

Which configuration should I choose if I need the highest storage capacity offered for this model?

This SKU already provides the maximum listed capacity of 8 TB on a single M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drive; there is no larger factory option for the UX8406CA-PS99T.
