16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen laptop

The ASUS Zenbook S16 UM5606GA pairs a 16-inch OLED panel at 2880 x 1800 resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. Touch input is supported across the full display area. It targets professionals and creators who want high colour fidelity and pen-free interaction in a 2026 ultraportable chassis.

32 GB memory and 1 TB M.2 2242 storage

Memory is provided as a single 32 GB module soldered to the board, so capacity cannot be expanded later. The solid-state drive uses the shorter M.2 2242 form factor and offers 1 TB of space. Video output is handled through one HDMI 2.1 port and a USB-C display connection, while the backlit keyboard supports low-light typing.

AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 with 50 TOPS NPU

The 10-core, 20-thread processor runs at a 2 GHz base and 5 GHz boost, accompanied by an integrated AMD Radeon graphics block and a neural processing unit rated at 50 trillion operations per second. This configuration suits AI-assisted workflows and light content creation on the Copilot+ PC platform. Buyers who need user-upgradable memory or a second storage drive should consider other models.

Questions about this item

What does the HDMI 2.1 port cap at for external displays?

The HDMI 2.1 output supports up to 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz for external monitors and TVs.

What drive size and keying does the M.2 slot accept for storage upgrades?

The single M.2 slot accepts 2242-length drives only; longer 2280 modules will not fit.

How is Windows Hello set up on this laptop, and what step do people skip?

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, choose Facial recognition, then look straight at the IR camera until the bar completes; skipping the “Improve recognition” second scan causes login failures in low light.
