Direct replacement for AT&T cordless phones

This 2-pack of NiMH batteries replaces part numbers BT162342 and BT262342 in a wide range of VTech and AT&T handsets. Each cell delivers 2.4 V and 600 mAh using two AAA cells wired together. The pack suits owners of models such as the CS6114, CS6419, CS6719 and EL52300 series who need a fresh power source.

Low self-discharge chemistry runs cool

Nickel-metal-hydride construction avoids the memory effect of older chemistries and generates minimal heat during charging. Normal standby and talk cycles draw only modest current, so the handset stays comfortable in the hand and the base station remains quiet without fan noise or thermal throttling.

AAA×2 layout fits original compartments

The paired AAA form factor slides into the existing battery bay without shims or adapter sleeves. Polarised connectors match the factory plug orientation, so installation is a simple swap. Buyers whose handsets require a different voltage, a higher capacity or a proprietary pack shape will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I install the two AAA cells in my CS6419 handset and what is the common mistake?

Open the battery cover, insert both AAA cells matching the + and – marks, then close the cover; the step often missed is aligning the polarity symbols on each cell with the contacts inside the compartment.

When will the 2.4 V 600 mAh NiMH pack need replacing?

Expect roughly two to three years of daily charging cycles before talk time drops noticeably; swap the pack when the handset no longer holds a charge through a normal day.

What runtime limit appears first during a long call on the CS6114?

The 600 mAh capacity sets the talk-time ceiling; after several hours of continuous use the voltage falls below the level needed to keep the radio active and the call ends.
