Simple Corded Operation

This AT&T TR1909 corded telephone provides reliable service without the hassle of a misplaced handset. It sits on a desk or mounts to a wall and functions entirely without AC power for basic calling. Four AA batteries are required only to activate the Caller ID display features.

Caller ID Requires Battery Power

The Caller ID and call waiting display will not operate unless four AA batteries are installed, and these are not included in the box. Without batteries, the unit works as a standard telephone but cannot show incoming names, numbers, times or dates. The 80-entry call history and 50-name memory also depend on this power source.

Replaces Cordless Models Needing Constant Charging

This trimline phone suits users who want to eliminate dead handset batteries and base station clutter. It is not for households that need multiple wireless extensions or mobility around the property. The jump is worth it when a single, always-ready line with speed dial memory is the priority.
