A two-port DVI KVM switch with built-in USB 2.0 hub and audio, switching two computers from one console at up to 1920 x 1200 resolution
The ATEN CS1762A is a two-port DVI KVM switch that lets one USB keyboard, mouse and monitor control two DVI computers. It includes a built-in two-port USB 2.0 hub for sharing peripherals such as printers or storage drives. Audio and microphone jacks on each port provide 2.1 channel sound switching alongside the video signal. The unit ships with two six-foot DVI-D cables, a power adapter and documentation.
Verify that each computer provides a DVI-I video output and USB Type B ports for keyboard and mouse connection. Ensure the shared monitor accepts a DVI-I input and supports 1920 x 1200 resolution at 60 Hz with DDC2B signalling. Confirm that 5.3 VDC, 1 A power is available from the included adapter and that the operating environment stays within 32 °F to 122 °F and 0 to 80 % relative humidity. The console side requires one USB Type A keyboard port, one USB Type A mouse port, plus audio and microphone jacks.
This switch replaces a single-computer KVM or manual cable swapping when you need to operate two DVI workstations from one desk. The jump is worthwhile if you regularly switch between two systems and want front-panel push-button or hotkey selection with an auto-scan interval of 1 to 99 seconds. It is not suited for setups that require more than two computer ports, DisplayPort or HDMI video inputs, or USB 3.0 peripheral speeds.

The package contains the CS1762A unit, two custom DVI-D cables (6 ft), a 5.3 VDC 1 A power adapter, a user manual and a quick-start guide. No extra cables are needed for a basic two-computer setup.
This single model provides two DVI-I computer ports, a DVI-I console port, two USB Type-B upstream ports, a built-in two-port USB 2.0 hub, and microphone and stereo audio jacks for both computers.
Each connected computer can output up to 1920 x 1200 resolution at 60 Hz through the DVI-I links, and the switch passes the DDC2B EDID data so the OS detects the display correctly.
