2-Port Secure KVM Switch PP4.0

The ATEN CS1182DPH4C is a two-port secure KVM switch built to PP4.0 requirements. It lets a single operator control two isolated computers from one console using HDMI or DisplayPort video. A CAC reader is integrated for smart-card authentication. The unit ships new with power adapter, cables, foot pads, port labels and cable locks.

Suited for single-display secure desks

This switch fits environments that mandate PP4.0 isolation and need CAC support on a single monitor. It works where only two sources must be managed and dual-head output is not required. Buyers who need more than two ports, multi-monitor switching, or video interfaces other than HDMI and DisplayPort should look at other models.

Handles two isolated sources on one screen

The switch comfortably handles two secure computers sharing one HDMI or DisplayPort display with keyboard, mouse and CAC reader. It runs out when a third source is added, when dual-display output is needed, or when video formats beyond the two provided interfaces are required.

Questions about this item

Which video cables must I already own to connect two computers to the CS1182DPH4C?

Each computer needs either an HDMI or a DisplayPort cable that matches its own output and the switch’s corresponding input.

Will the CS1182DPH4C share a single HDMI or DisplayPort monitor with older computers that only have DVI or VGA?

The switch accepts only HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, so legacy DVI or VGA sources require an active adapter before they can be connected.

How do I confirm the CS1182DPH4C is switching securely after I attach the CAC reader and both computers?

The front-panel port LEDs show the active channel, and the CAC reader stays powered only on the selected port, confirming isolated switching.
