ATEN TECHNOLOGIES CS724KM 4-Port USB KVM Switch

Four-Port USB KM Switch

The ATEN CS724KM lets one keyboard and mouse command four separate computers. It is built for operators who need to juggle multiple systems without extra peripherals cluttering the desk. Two units can be daisy-chained to extend control to eight computers from a single console. This suits control-room staff, developers and multi-platform testers who value instant switching.

Capacity and headroom

Each switch handles four computer connections and supports extended desktops with up to four monitors per unit. Daisy-chaining two switches raises the monitor limit to eight while keeping the same keyboard and mouse. The boundless switching method works across display borders in any direction, so cursor movement alone selects the target system. There is no video switching capability, so each computer must drive its own display outputs.

Thermals noise and power

The unit draws power from the attached USB ports and has no internal fan. Silent operation is guaranteed in normal office or server-room environments. With a lightweight chassis of 2.62 kg, it adds negligible heat to a rack or desktop. No external power adapter is required, keeping cabling simple and power draw minimal.
