Four-port 4K HDMI switch for display routing

The ATEN VS481C routes up to four HDMI sources to a single display, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160. It is built for users who need to switch between multiple computers, media players or cameras on one screen. The rack-mountable form factor suits studio, classroom or control-room installations. Buyers who require simultaneous output to multiple displays should consider a splitter instead.

True 4K at 4096 x 2160 maximum resolution

The single specification that determines compatibility is the maximum video resolution of 4096 x 2160 across four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. This confirms support for DCI 4K content without downscaling. Sources or displays limited to lower resolutions will still function, but the switch will not pass signals beyond the stated 4096 x 2160 limit.

Passive switching with no fan noise

The unit operates without active cooling, so it adds no audible noise to the environment. Power draw is limited to the signal circuitry required for HDMI switching and distribution. The compact 1 x 3.2 x 7.9 inch chassis fits standard rack spaces while keeping thermal output negligible during normal use.
