Dell Latitude 5285 replacement display

This 12.3 inch touchscreen panel matches the TV123WAM-ND1 part number used in the Dell Latitude 5285. It delivers a 1920x1280 resolution at 60 Hz with 400 cd/m² brightness and a 1200:1 contrast ratio. The 40-pin video connector fits the original cable without adapters. Buyers needing a different screen size or a non-touch panel cannot use this part.

Touch layer and 40-pin connector

The integrated touch function restores pen and finger input exactly as the factory screen did. A 40-pin ribbon carries both video and touch signals, so a single cable reconnects everything. If the laptop chassis uses a different pin count or lacks touch support, this assembly will not work.

60 Hz refresh and fixed resolution

The panel operates at 60 Hz, which suits office applications and video playback but limits motion clarity in fast-paced gaming. Its native 1920x1280 resolution cannot be changed without scaling artefacts. Systems that require higher refresh rates or a different aspect ratio need another display.

Questions about this item

Does the touch-digitiser layer on the 12.3 inch 1920x1280 panel need separate replacement if it cracks?

The screen is supplied as a complete assembly with the touch layer bonded to the 40-pin display, so a cracked digitiser means replacing the whole unit.

What is the first limitation you hit when running the 12.3 inch 1920x1280 panel at full brightness all day?

The 400 cd/m² backlight at 60 Hz refresh is the fixed output ceiling; sustained use cannot exceed that brightness level.

How much power does the 40-pin 1920x1280 touchscreen draw and does it get hot during continuous operation?

The panel runs at 60 Hz with a 400 cd/m² backlight and 1200:1 contrast; typical draw is low for a 12.3 inch FHD screen and heat remains minimal.
