Exact-fit 30-pin replacement

This 15.6-inch IPS panel matches the LP156WF9 (SP)(L9) SPL9 part number. It delivers a 1920x1080 Full HD resolution at a 60 Hz refresh rate. The non-touch screen uses a 30-pin video connector for direct installation. Buyers needing a touch-enabled display or a different pin layout cannot use this unit.

Typical brightness and contrast

Rated brightness sits at 220 cd/m² with an 800:1 contrast ratio. The IPS layer provides wide viewing angles for everyday office work and media playback. Power draw remains low, consistent with standard 60 Hz laptop panels. No fan or active cooling is involved, so operation is silent.

Sustained image stability

Under continuous use the panel maintains its specified 220 cd/m² output and 800:1 contrast without throttling. The 60 Hz refresh rate remains steady during long sessions. Colour consistency holds across the IPS substrate over extended periods. There is no thermal management to consider because the component generates negligible heat.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 30-pin video connector on this 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel without damaging the fragile ribbon cable?

Power off the laptop and disconnect the battery. Gently lift the connector latch, insert the 30-pin ribbon straight and fully seated, then close the latch. The step most people rush is verifying the latch is fully locked before reassembling the bezel.

What maintenance or replacement will this LP156WF9 (SP)(L9) screen need after extended use?

The 220 cd/m² backlight will gradually dim over years of daily use. No user-serviceable parts exist inside the panel; when brightness drops below comfortable levels the entire 1920x1080 IPS module must be replaced.

What limit appears first during sustained use of this 60 Hz Full HD display?

The 220 cd/m² brightness ceiling is the first constraint you hit in bright rooms or long sessions; the 800:1 contrast ratio and 60 Hz refresh remain stable, but peak luminance cannot be exceeded.
