Display specifications

This 15.6 inch IPS panel delivers Full HD 1920x1080 resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate. It features a 40-pin video signal connector and includes touch functionality. Brightness is rated at 250 cd/m² with an 800:1 contrast ratio. The part number is LP156WFD(SP)(M2).

Compatibility and fit

This screen suits owners of laptops requiring the exact LP156WFD(SP)(M2) part number. It is not for buyers who need a different connector pin count or a non-touch display variant. Builders looking for higher refresh rates or alternative resolutions should look elsewhere. Verify the part number on the original panel before ordering.

Deciding specification

The 40-pin connector combined with touch support is the critical match point for installation. If the original screen uses a different pin layout or lacks touch, this panel will not work. Confirm both details against the damaged unit to ensure compatibility. No other single specification determines fit as decisively.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 40-pin connector on this 15.6 inch IPS touch screen?

Align the 40-pin video cable with the motherboard socket and press straight in until it clicks; forcing it at an angle bends the delicate pins and causes dead lines.

What maintenance will the LP156WFD panel need over time?

Clean the touch surface with a microfibre cloth and screen-safe fluid; the backlight is rated for long life but gradual dimming below 250 cd/m² signals it is ageing.

At what point does the 60 Hz refresh limit become noticeable during sustained use?

In fast gaming or scrolling, motion blur appears once frame rates exceed 60 fps because the panel cannot update faster than its 60 Hz specification.
