Complete Display for MacBook Pro A1278

This new 13.3 inch WXGA panel replaces the full screen assembly on Apple MacBook Pro models A1278 released between 2009 and 2012. It delivers a 1280×800 resolution through a 30-pin video connector and arrives as a ready-to-fit top lid unit. The part number LPA1278F matches the original component for direct compatibility.

Upgrade from cracked or dim original screens

Install this assembly when the existing display shows physical damage, backlight failure or persistent image defects that software cannot fix. The jump is worth it if the MacBook Pro remains otherwise functional and the repair cost fits the device value. Buyers needing higher resolution, a different screen size or a newer connector standard cannot use this part.

Questions about this item

Will the 30-pin video connector on this 13.3 inch screen match the cable on my MacBook Pro A1278?

Yes, the assembly uses a 30-pin video signal connector that matches the original cable on MacBook Pro A1278 models from 2009 through 2012.

What is the installation step people most often miss when fitting this complete top assembly?

After removing the old display, route the Wi-Fi antenna cables through the hinge channels before securing the new assembly, otherwise the antennas get pinched and wireless range drops.
