12-inch WQXGA Retina display assembly

This complete top assembly replaces the display on Apple MacBook Pro Retina A1534 12-inch models from 2015, 2016 and 2017. It delivers a 2304x1440 resolution in a gold finish that matches the original chassis. The IPS panel provides wide viewing angles and accurate colour reproduction for creative work and daily productivity.

Passive cooling with silent operation

The display assembly has no active cooling components so it adds no fan noise and draws negligible power from the system. Heat from the panel dissipates through the aluminium lid without affecting keyboard temperatures or battery life. Installation restores the factory thermal profile without requiring additional airflow or power-headroom considerations.

Questions about this item

How is the 12" WQXGA 2304x1440 full display assembly installed, and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom case, disconnect the battery, then unplug the display cable, Wi‑Fi antenna cables and webcam cable before unscrewing the hinge screws; the step most people miss is reconnecting the Wi‑Fi antenna cables before closing the lid.

What maintenance or replacement will the LPA1534F-Gold screen need later?

The IPS panel and backlight are sealed inside the assembly; no user‑serviceable parts exist, so only physical damage or backlight failure would require a full replacement.
