Compatibility and use case

This 15.6 inch IPS panel is a direct replacement for laptops that originally shipped with the N156HGE-LA1 part number. It delivers a Full HD 1920x1080 picture at 60Hz with a 40-pin video connector. Buyers who need a touchscreen layer, a higher refresh rate, or a different connector pin count should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification

The 40-pin video signal connector is the single detail that determines whether this screen will work in a specific machine. Verify the original panel's part number and pin layout before ordering, as an incorrect connector makes installation impossible.

Questions about this item

Will the 40-pin connector or IPS panel need replacement if the backlight dims over time?

The 40-pin video connector is a passive interface; only the panel itself would require replacement if brightness degrades.

At 60 Hz refresh and 300 cd/m² brightness, what limit appears first during continuous use?

The 60 Hz refresh rate caps motion clarity before brightness or contrast become limiting factors.

How much heat or power does the 15.6-inch 1920×1080 IPS panel generate when running all day?

Typical IPS panels of this size draw only a few watts, producing minimal heat during extended operation.
