NE156QHM-NY4 15.6" QHD 165Hz replacement panel

This 15.6 inch display matches part number NE156QHM-NY4 and delivers a 2560x1440 Quad HD resolution at 165Hz. It is built for owners of laptops that originally shipped with this exact panel and need a new, non-touch screen.

40-pin connector and 300 cd/m² brightness

The panel uses a 40-pin video signal interface, so installation requires a matching cable and connector on the host device. A 300 cd/m² brightness level and 1200:1 contrast ratio provide clear visibility for everyday indoor use without touch functionality.

This screen replaces a damaged or dim NE156QHM-NY4 unit with identical specifications, restoring the original 165Hz refresh rate and QHD clarity. The upgrade is worthwhile when the existing panel has failed or developed defects, and the laptop chassis supports the same 40-pin connection.

Questions about this item

Does the 40-pin connector limit the panel to 165 Hz at QHD resolution?

The 40-pin eDP interface on this NE156QHM-NY4 panel supports 2560x1440 at 165 Hz, matching the panel's native refresh rate.

What bezel width and mounting points does the 15.6 inch screen require?

The panel follows the standard 15.6 inch form factor with 40-pin connector placement; verify your chassis uses the same screw-hole pattern before fitting.

Which cable orientation and connector seating avoid a black screen after installation?

Align the 40-pin ribbon with the notch on the panel socket, insert fully until the latch clicks, and route the cable clear of hinge brackets to prevent pinching.
