Direct replacement for NE160QDM-NM1 models

This 16 inch panel matches the NE160QDM-NM1 part number exactly and uses a 40 pin video signal connector. It delivers WQXGA 2560x1600 resolution at 165Hz refresh rate without touch functionality. The display is intended for technicians or owners repairing a compatible laptop chassis.

165Hz refresh rate sets the motion ceiling

At 165Hz the screen can show up to 165 frames per second, so the panel itself will not limit motion clarity below that rate. A 40 pin eDP link carries the video signal, and the host laptop must drive 2560x1600 at 165Hz over that interface. If the system GPU or firmware caps the link at a lower rate the panel will run at the lower rate.

1250 cd/m² brightness and 1000:1 contrast

Peak brightness reaches 1250 cd/m², which is very high for indoor use and helps visibility in bright environments. The 1000:1 contrast ratio is typical for IPS-type panels and provides decent black levels. The 40 pin connector and non-touch design mean a straightforward swap when the original panel uses the same pinout and mounting brackets.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 40‑pin version or a different connector?

This panel uses a 40‑pin video connector; choose it only if your laptop’s cable also has 40 pins.

How does the 165 Hz refresh rate feel in daily use?

At 165 Hz the screen redraws 165 times per second, so fast motion in games or video looks smoother than at 60 Hz.

What does the 40‑pin interface cap in practice?

The 40‑pin eDP link supports the panel’s native 2560×1600 resolution at 165 Hz; higher resolutions or refresh rates would need a different connector.
