14-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen

This 14-inch replacement panel delivers 1920x1080 resolution through an IPS matrix with touch input. It runs at 60 Hz and connects via a 40-pin video signal connector. The screen offers 250 cd/m² brightness and an 800:1 contrast ratio.

Compatibility and use-case limits

The panel matches the R140NWF5R1 part number exactly, so it fits laptops built around that specific display model. Buyers whose devices require a different connector pin-count, a non-touch variant, or a higher refresh rate should look at other screens.

40-pin connector and touch function

The 40-pin video interface and integrated touch layer are the decisive specifications; the replacement will only work if the laptop's cable and controller support both. Verify the original screen's part number before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 40-pin video cable when installing the R140NWF5R1 screen, and which step is often missed?

Align the 40-pin connector with the panel socket and press until it clicks; the step often missed is securing the retention latch or tape that prevents the cable from working loose.

What maintenance or replacement will the R140NWF5R1 touch panel need over time?

The IPS panel itself requires no scheduled maintenance; only the touch digitiser glass may need replacement if it cracks or loses sensitivity after impact.

At what point does the 60 Hz refresh rate become the limiting factor during sustained use?

The 60 Hz refresh rate caps motion clarity at 60 frames per second, so fast-panning video or gaming content will show motion blur before the 250 cd/m² brightness or 800:1 contrast become limiting.
