What this mouse is

The Attack Shark R5 Ultra is a new carbon-fibre wireless gaming mouse weighing 39 g. It uses a PixArt PAW3950MAX sensor with 42000 DPI, 750 IPS and 50 G acceleration. Connection options are 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth and USB-C wired, with an 8000 Hz wireless polling rate. Five programmable buttons use Omron mechanical microswitches rated for 100 million clicks.

Who should consider it and who should not

Competitive FPS, MOBA and battle-royale players who want an ultra-light shell and the highest wireless polling rate will benefit. Buyers who need more than five programmable buttons or an ergonomic right-handed shape should look elsewhere. The sensor and switches are fixed, so users wanting swappable components cannot change them.

The specification that decides fit

The 8000 Hz wireless polling rate is the single figure that determines whether this mouse matches a high-refresh competitive setup; if your workflow does not need that update speed, the advantage disappears.

The R5 Ultra is offered as a single white model with carbon-fibre composite shell, PixArt PAW3950MAX sensor, Nordic 52840 MCU, Omron 100 million-click switches and tri-mode connectivity.

What does the 42000 DPI figure mean in actual use?

The sensor can be programmed up to 42000 DPI with 750 IPS tracking speed and 50G acceleration, giving precise cursor control for fast competitive play.

How does the 8000 Hz polling rate work across the three connection modes?
