What this cable connects

The AUBEAMTO DP28 is a male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 cable measuring 6.6 ft. It links graphics cards and monitors equipped with DisplayPort sockets. The cable is VESA certified and rated for HBR3 bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps. It suits desktop PCs, gaming laptops and compatible TVs.

Supported resolutions and refresh limits

The cable carries 8K at 60 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz, 2K at 240 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz. It also handles 4K at 60 Hz and 2K at 165 Hz. Dynamic HDR and HDCP 2.2 are supported. The 32.4 Gbps ceiling means higher refresh rates at 8K or uncompressed 8K beyond 60 Hz are not possible.

Deciding specification: VESA-certified HBR3

The single figure that determines suitability is the certified 32.4 Gbps HBR3 rating. If your display and source require that bandwidth for 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz, this cable meets the spec. If you need bandwidth above 32.4 Gbps for higher uncompressed modes, this cable will not suffice.

Questions about this item

Will the AUBEAMTO DP28 cable work with my older DisplayPort 1.2 monitor and still deliver 4K at 60 Hz?

Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, so a 4K 60 Hz signal passes without issue.

How can I confirm the cable is running at the full 32.4 Gbps HBR3 rate after I connect it?

Check your GPU control panel or monitor OSD; they will report the link as HBR3 or 32.4 Gbps when the cable is operating at its certified speed.

Does the box include any adapters or do I need to buy a separate DisplayPort to HDMI converter for my TV?

The package contains only the 6.6 ft male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 cable; any HDMI adapter must be purchased separately.
