What this cable is and who it serves

The AUBEAMTO PQ004 is a USB4 cable with USB-C connectors on both ends. It carries data, video and up to 240W of power in a single 1.6FT braided link. It suits anyone connecting a laptop, dock, eGPU or external SSD that uses a USB-C port.

The specification that decides fit

Data moves at up to 40Gbps when both host and device support USB4 Gen3, dropping to 20Gbps on Gen2 ports. Video output reaches 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 144Hz. Power delivery tops out at 240W (48V/5A) with a compatible PD 3.0 charger.

Heat, noise and power in normal use

The cable itself has no active cooling and makes no sound. It is rated to carry 240W continuously, so the only heat comes from the power flowing through the conductors. Typical warmth stays low during charging or data transfers.

Questions about this item

What does the 40Gbps rating actually deliver when the cable is plugged into a laptop and an external SSD?

The cable supports up to 40Gbps with USB4 Gen3 ports; with USB 3.2 Gen2 ports the practical ceiling is 20Gbps, so real-world throughput depends on the host and device controllers.

Which USB standard governs the 240W power figure and what does it cap in daily use?

USB Power Delivery 3.0 at 48V/5A sets the 240W ceiling; actual charging power is negotiated between the charger and the device, so a phone will draw far less than a gaming laptop.

What physical clearance does the 1.6FT braided cable need to fit between a dock and a monitor on a typical desk?

The cable is 1.6FT long with male USB-C connectors on both ends and a braided jacket that adds minimal bulk, so it fits tight rear-panel spacing without sharp bends.
