USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps data rate

The cable meets the USB 3.2 Gen 2 specification, moving large media files or game libraries at up to ten gigabits per second. It remains backward compatible with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 hosts, though the link will negotiate the slower speed.

Sixty-watt charging with Quick Charge 3.0

A 56-kilohm pull-up resistor enables up to sixty watts at three amps when paired with a compatible charger, charging a supported phone from zero to seventy percent in roughly thirty minutes. The cable carries no video signal and cannot charge or transfer data between two laptops.

Questions about this item

What does the 10Gbps rating actually deliver when I plug an external SSD into a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port?

You can expect up to 10Gbps throughput, letting you move large video files or game libraries in seconds rather than minutes.

The cable is labelled USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 — what does that cap at in real use?

The interface tops out at 10Gbps for data and 60W at 20V/3A for charging, provided your host, device and charger all support those limits.

Will the 90° right-angle plug fit beside other ports on a crowded laptop or hub?

The ergonomic L‑shaped connector sits flush against the device, clearing adjacent ports and reducing strain on the jack during long sessions.
