USB-C Extension Cable 6.6 ft

This USB-C extension cable adds 6.6 feet of reach between a host and a peripheral. It carries USB 3.1 Gen 2 signals at 10 Gbps and delivers up to 100 W of power. The male-to-female design suits laptops, tablets and phones with a USB-C port.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

Users who need to extend a USB-C docking station, monitor or charger by two metres will find the length and bandwidth adequate. Buyers who rely on active Thunderbolt 3 docks or hubs cannot use this cable because the specification lists those devices as incompatible.

Deciding Specification: Thunderbolt 3

The cable does not work with any active Thunderbolt 3 docking stations, hubs or cables. If your setup depends on Thunderbolt 3 active gear, this extender will not function and a different solution is required.

Questions about this item

Will the nylon braid or the bulletproof fibre core need replacing after repeated bending?

The cable is rated for over 20000 bends, so the braid and core are designed to last through heavy daily flexing without scheduled replacement.

What limits 10 Gbps throughput when the cable runs at full speed for long periods?

The 6.6 ft length is the primary factor; signal integrity at 10 Gbps is guaranteed up to this distance, beyond which speeds may drop.

How much heat or power loss should I expect when the cable carries 100 W continuously?

The cable supports 20 V at 5 A for 100 W charging; any warmth will be minimal and within normal USB‑C limits for this power level.
