Portable Pirate Telescope & Compass

The Aubric Pirate Telescope 25x30 is a collapsible handheld monocular paired with a pocket compass, designed for outdoor recreation and imaginative play. Its retractable brass-finished barrel and included leather case make it easy to carry on hikes, camping trips or boating excursions. The set suits children and casual users wanting a vintage-styled spyglass for daytime exploration.

Optics & Durability in Extended Use

The telescope provides 25 magnification with a 30-millimetre objective lens and BAK4 prism optics featuring blue coating, delivering a 1.7-degree field of view rated at 270 feet at 1000 yards. Manual focus is adjusted by extending the Barlow lens barrel to its full length before fine-tuning. Both the spyglass and the gold-plated metal compass are waterproof and rated for temperatures from -20 to 50, with the compass dial glowing in darkness for night-time orientation.

Compatibility & Setup Checks

Verify that a 30.48-centimetre extended length fits your pack or storage space when deployed. The unit uses a standard manual-focus mechanism with no electronic components, so it requires no batteries or device pairing. Ensure you are comfortable with a fixed 25-power magnification and a narrow 1.7-degree viewing angle before ordering.

Questions about this item

How much heat or power does the 25x30 telescope generate during all-day use?

This optical spyglass has no electronics, so it produces no heat and draws no power during extended viewing sessions.

What must I already own for the Aubric Tel-2020 to function?

Nothing extra is required; the brass monocular and its integrated compass work straight from the leather case.

Will the 1.7-degree field of view match the wider view of my older binoculars?

The 1.7-degree view is narrower than typical binoculars, so expect a more focused, telescope-like perspective.
