Dual moving magnet cartridge with a nude Shibata stylus that traces grooves precisely for extended high-frequency response up to 27,000 Hz
The AT-VM750XSH is a dual moving magnet phono cartridge fitted with a nude Shibata stylus. It produces a frequency response of 20 to 27,000 Hz and channel separation of 26 dB at 1 kHz. Output voltage is 3.7 mV at 5 cm per second, with a recommended load impedance of 47 k ohms.
This cartridge suits listeners who want extended treble detail and low groove wear from the Shibata profile. The 2.0 g standard tracking force works with many tonearms, but the 20° vertical tracking angle may limit compatibility with some older arms. Buyers needing a lighter tracking range or a different mounting style should consider other designs.
The stylus tip is a nude Shibata mounted on a 0.28 mm solid boron cantilever. Static compliance is 20 x 10-6 cm per dyne and dynamic compliance is 7 x 10-6 cm per dyne at 100 Hz. Coil impedance measures 3.2 k ohms and DC resistance is 750 ohms at 1 kHz.

The cartridge tracks at 1.8 to 2.2 g with 2.0 g standard, so the tonearm only applies a few grams — no heat build-up and minimal groove wear during extended play.
It needs a moving-magnet input presenting 47 k ohms load impedance; the cartridge outputs 3.7 mV at 5 cm/sec, so any standard MM stage with that load will match.
Yes — the VMx series uses the universal 1/2-inch mount, and the 20° vertical tracking angle plus 1.8–2.2 g tracking force suit most vintage and modern arms alike.
