Cartridge type and mount

The AT-VM95E is a dual moving magnet cartridge built for half-inch mount turntables. Its green body houses a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus that tracks grooves with precision. A special coil design produces a 4.0 mV output level with low distortion. Threaded inserts allow two-screw mounting without nuts.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers wanting a straightforward moving magnet upgrade with user-replaceable stylus options will find it practical. The shared VM95 body accepts any of the six AT-VMN95 replacement styli for future changes. It is not for systems that require a moving coil cartridge or a different mounting standard.

Deciding specification

The 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus profile determines tracing ability and high-frequency response. This shape is the single factor that decides whether the cartridge matches the playback quality you expect.
