The AT8492U is a dedicated mounting system built for the ATM350a cardioid condenser instrument microphone. It combines a universal clip-on mount with a five-inch gooseneck to give instrumentalists a hands-free way to position the capsule exactly where the sound is best. The kit includes the AT8491U clip and the AT8490 gooseneck as a matched pair.

Rugged Metal Clip with Locking Gooseneck

A rubber-lined metal jaw and locking screw clamp the mount securely to a bell, rim or music stand without marring the finish. The gooseneck locks into the mount socket with its own screw, so the microphone stays fixed in place even while the player moves around the stage or studio. Both joints are metal-on-metal for repeatable positioning night after night.

Fixed Five-Inch Reach Limits Placement Options

The gooseneck length is set at five inches, which restricts how far the capsule can extend from the clamping point. Players with large instruments or unconventional mounting surfaces may find the reach too short for optimal pickup. The system also requires a compatible ATM350a microphone; it does not fit other models or generic capsules.
