Universal headrest monitor with DVD

The Audiovox AVX10USB is a single 10.1" headrest monitor that integrates a DVD player, USB and MicroSD media playback, plus an HD input for smart devices. It targets families who want a removable rear-seat entertainment system that mounts to existing front-seat headrest posts.

Quick-fit bracket with hardwire option

Installation uses the included universal mounting bracket and adaptors that suit varying headrest post sizes, while a 12 V power adapter plugs into the accessory socket or can be hardwired for a cleaner look. The removable design lets the screen detach from the bracket, so alignment issues are fixed by reseating the unit rather than refitting the whole mount.

1024 x 600 panel limits HD detail

The 10.1" LED-backlit display resolves 1024 x 600, so high-definition sources are downscaled and fine text or small UI elements lose clarity. Dual-channel IR headphones and the wireless FM modulator handle audio, but the analogue AV inputs and headphone jack remain the only fall-back if digital links prove incompatible with a particular device.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 10.1" panel and built-in DVD player are functioning after mounting the headrest monitor?

Power the unit via the 12V adapter, insert a disc and verify playback on the 1024 x 600 screen, then test the capacitive touch buttons and on-screen display for response.

What comes in the box with this single AVX10USB monitor and what must I purchase separately for a second seat?

The box includes one 10.1" headrest monitor with integrated DVD player, universal mounting bracket with adaptors for varying headrest posts, remote control, 12V power adapter and IR dual-channel headphone transmitter; buy a second identical monitor for a pair.

Which version of the AVX10USB should I choose if I need HD input for smart-device streaming plus USB and MicroSD playback?

The single listed model already provides HD input for smart-device connectivity, USB media playback, MicroSD card playback, AV1/AV2 inputs, AV output and earphone output — no alternative versions are offered.
