Overhead monitor with built-in DVD

The Audiovox VXMTG10 is a 10.1-inch fold-down screen that mounts overhead and includes a DVD player for rear-seat entertainment. It targets families and fleet operators who want a single integrated unit rather than separate components. Smart TV-ready capability allows streaming when a compatible source is connected. A built-in voltage stabiliser keeps the system running on vehicles equipped with Stop/Start technology.

Sustained playback reliability

During long journeys the DVD mechanism and LED panel operate continuously without the thermal throttling seen in compact portable players. The stabilised power input prevents voltage dips from engine restarts interrupting playback. Wireless IR headphone transmission and the 100-channel FM modulator both maintain steady signals for the duration of a typical trip. The included remote lets passengers control menus without distracting the driver.

Thermals noise and power draw

The LED backlight and low-voltage DVD drive draw modest current, so the unit adds little load to the vehicle electrical system. No active cooling fan is present, leaving the cabin silent apart from disc spin-up. Dome lights integrated into the housing provide map illumination without extra wiring. Snap-on trim rings in black, gray and tan finish the installation cleanly.
