Portable 7-inch CarPlay screen

The Audiovox PND7002 is a 7-inch portable car stereo that adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to any vehicle with a 12V socket. It targets drivers who want smartphone integration without removing their factory radio or running cables behind the dashboard. The unit also mirrors phones via AirPlay and Miracast for video streaming on long trips.

Thermal range and power

Rated for operation from -20°C to 60°C, the Linux-based system stays stable in extreme cabin temperatures. It draws power directly from the cigarette lighter so there is no permanent wiring or battery drain when the ignition is off. Audio routes through Bluetooth, AUX, FM transmitter or the built-in speaker without extra amplifiers.

Camera and storage bundle

A 1080P AHD rear-view camera with a 130° wide angle is included and activates automatically in reverse gear. The front-facing dash cam records to a TF card up to 256GB, giving continuous loop recording without a subscription. Both cameras and the touchscreen mount attach in minutes using the supplied hardware.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PND7002 and what step do people often miss?

Plug the unit into the 12 V cigarette lighter socket, mount the 7" touchscreen on the dash or windshield, then route and connect the included 1080P AHD rear camera cable to the screen and to the reverse-light circuit so the 130° view activates automatically in reverse.

What maintenance or replacement will the PND7002 need later?

The 1080P AHD rear camera and its wiring are exposed to weather and vibration; plan to inspect the lens seal and cable routing annually and replace the camera if water ingress or image degradation appears.

What limit shows up first during sustained use of the PND7002?

The Linux system supports TF cards up to 256 GB; once that storage is full, continuous dash-cam recording stops until older files are deleted or overwritten.
