Whole-home wireless intercom

The Aufgehen H8M wireless intercom provides room-to-room voice communication across a 540 yard range or up to 8 floors. Its full-duplex design allows natural two-way conversation without pressing buttons to switch modes. The system suits families, caregivers and small workplaces that need reliable indoor coverage without relying on Wi-Fi or mobile signals.

Replaces wired or short-range units

This system replaces hard-wired intercoms or basic baby monitors that cannot penetrate multiple walls or floors. The jump is worthwhile when you need instant, hands-free communication across a large house, between outbuildings or across several storeys without running cables. It is not for buyers who need video, smartphone integration or multi-zone paging beyond the supported three sources.

Fits a plug-and-play home setup

Each unit comes pre-paired and operates on mains power with a built-in 1000 mAh battery backup for portable use. A magnetic charging base keeps a unit ready for 24/7 operation. The compact 5 cm x 3 cm x 11 cm form factor sits on a desk or mounts on a wall. No router, app or network configuration is required, freeing up Wi-Fi bandwidth and eliminating pairing hassles.

Questions about this item

What are the physical dimensions of the Aufgehen H8M intercom unit?

How do I set up the intercom, and what is the most common mistake?

Plug each unit into power using the supplied USB cable; they are pre-paired so no Wi-Fi or app is needed. The step users often miss is allowing a full charge on the 1000 mAh battery before relying on portable use.

How long will the internal battery last before it needs replacing?

The 1000 mAh battery is rated for up to 720 hours of standby time; with daily use you can expect several years before a replacement cell is required.
