Dual-port USB charger for universal devices

The Aukey 103638 wall charger delivers 5V output with 2.4A per port for a combined 4.8A. Two standard USB ports charge phones, tablets and other 5V devices simultaneously. AiPower adaptive technology detects each device and supplies the safest maximum rate. The foldable plug keeps the unit compact for travel or desk use.

User manual and adaptive charging included

The package supplies the PA-U42 charger and a user manual. AiPower adaptive charging adjusts current per port up to 2.4A without manual selection. This removes the need to match ports to specific devices. Built-in safeguards protect against excessive current, overheating and overcharging during every session.

Compact black housing with foldable plug

The black plastic enclosure measures 2.00 by 2.10 by 1.10 inches and weighs very little. A foldable AC plug retracts flush against the body to prevent snagging in bags or pockets. Two USB-A ports sit on the front face for easy cable access. The open-box condition means the unit was previously opened but remains unused.

Questions about this item

Will the foldable plug mechanism on the PA-U42 wear out and need replacement?

The foldable plug is a mechanical hinge with no user-serviceable parts; if it loosens over time the whole charger would be replaced rather than repaired.

What limits sustained output when both ports are drawing 2.4 A each?

Total output is capped at 4.8 A, so simultaneous 2.4 A loads hit that ceiling and the internal safeguards will throttle current to prevent overheating.

How hot does the Aukey 103638 get when running at 4.8 A all day?

Built-in safeguards protect against excessive current and overheating, so the charger regulates temperature automatically during continuous maximum load.
