What the US-305 does and who uses it

The AUKOKIOULA US-305 is a bi-directional HDMI 2.0 switch with three ports. It handles 4K at 60 Hz, 3D, 1080p and 4K at 30 Hz with 36-bit HDR colour depth and TrueHD 7.1 audio. The unit measures 5.4 in by 5.3 in by 1.5 in and weighs 0.059 kilograms. It draws power from the HDMI connection so no external adapter is required.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Console gamers, streamer owners and home-theatre users who need to toggle between two sources on one display or send one source to either of two displays will find the push-button switching and LED status lights convenient. Buyers who require simultaneous output to two screens or automatic switching without pressing a button cannot use this device.

What the lack of bundled cables changes

No HDMI cables are included in the package. You must supply three cables that match the resolution and bandwidth you intend to run, otherwise the 4K 60 Hz capability cannot be realised. The absence of a power brick means one fewer outlet is occupied, but cable quality becomes the limiting factor for signal integrity.

Questions about this item

What HDMI version must my sources and displays support to get 4K at 60 Hz through the US-305?

All connected devices need HDMI 2.0 ports to pass 4K@60Hz through the switch.

Will the US-305 send a 1080p signal from an older console to a 4K projector without extra scaling hardware?

Yes, the switch passes 1080p and 4K@30Hz natively, so legacy sources display correctly on newer screens.

How do I confirm the US-305 has selected the correct input or output after pressing the button?

The two LED indicators on the unit light to show which port is active.
